Dallas Payne - 100 yards and a TD Payne had four catches for 100 yards and a score against Sam Houston Saturday.

Impact The tight end came into this game with 166 yards on the season, so this was a bit of a surprise. Payne, a UAB transfer, stepped right into the role of top tight end, but like many offenses in college football his role was tertiary.

Alex Perry - Continues torrid run Perry caught seven passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns against Sam Houston on Saturday.

Impact Perry has been on fire, with seven touchdowns over his last five games. He's even been over 100 yards in each of his last two. FIU still has a bowl game left, but then the question becomes if the Hawaii transfer stays at FIU for his final season, or does he transfer again based on this run of play.

Sterling Joseph - Wows against Bearkats Joseph touched the ball four times and ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns against Sam Houston Saturday.

Impact Now, one must caveat that Sam Houston's defense is horrendous, and that this game was well settled before Joseph touched the ball. However, the true freshman had one carry all season before this, and he turned his four rushing attempts here into this kind of production. Plus, he didn't burn his redshirt, so everybody is happy here.

Kejon Owens - Rushes for 124 yards Owens only needed 15 carries to get to 124 yards against Sam Houston on Saturday.

Impact Owens didn't get one of the four rushing touchdowns FIU had against one of the worst FBS defenses in recent memory, but that's a minor frustration for him, one imagines. After all, he's got 11 rushing scores on the season and is approaching 1,300 yards on the ground with a bowl game to go.

Keyone Jenkins - Totals four TDs in return Jenkins went 15-for-24 for 291 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception against Sam Houston on Saturday. He also ran four times for 47 yards and a score.

Impact Jenkins was the starter until he injured himself, at which point Joe Pesansky stepped in and, frankly, outplayed Jenkins. It all worked out conveniently, though, as Jenkins was ready to go this week and Pesansky was out with an injury. The question becomes who starts the bowl game for FIU if both are healthy?

The junior quarterback completed 62.8 percent go his passes for 1,402 yards and six touchdowns (four interceptions) across eight appearances prior to his injury.

Alex Perry - First 100-yard game Perry caught four passes for 109 yards and a touchdown against JSU on Saturday.

Impact The FIU is offense is simple. Kejon Owens runs the ball whenever possible, and when the team has to pass it usually goes in Perry's direction. He didn't do much in the first two games, but in the nine games since then he's had 41 catches on 72 targets for 644 yards and seven touchdowns.

Impact While FIU's three-game win streak coincides with Joe Pesansky stepping in to start at quarterback, in all those games Owens has paced the offense. That's been the case all season, frankly. Owens stuck it out at FIU for a fifth season and has been rewarded with 190 carries that he's turned into 1,159 yards and 11 scores.
