Zach Marker - Transfers to FIU Marker (leg) will transfer to FIU, per the program's 2026 roster.
Impact Marker was lost for the 2025 season in Week 1 after completing 3-of-8 passes for 21 yards and 12 rushing yards. He was able to preserve his eligibility as a silver lining, and will now take his talents to Miami, where he'll look to battle for the Panthers' starting quarterback gig.

Greg Gaines - Added to FIU's roster Gaines is part of Florida International's 2026 roster, Kevin Barral of Sports Illustrated reports.
Impact Gaines, a Florida native, will transfer colleges from Rhode Island. The question becomes whether or not his 2025 season indicates that he significantly improved. Though part of Iowa State for multiple seasons, he barely logged several receptions. Gaines subsequently transferred to URI, whose 2025 season includes his 1,018 receiving yards (15.7 averaged per reception) and four touchdowns.

Impact Kohl will join the Panthers after playing this past season with App State. The 6-foot-7 quarterback threw for 1,465 yards and 12 touchdowns to two interceptions across eight games in the 2025 campaign. He'll have a solid shot at getting the starting quarterback gig for FIU.

Keyone Jenkins - Completely stymied by UTSA Jenkins completed 7 of 14 passes for 49 yards and one interception during Friday's 57-20 defeat to Texas-San Antonio.
Impact Jenkins turned in easily his worst performance of the season as FIU got rolled by UTSA in a bowl loss. The gunslinger couldn't get anything going and it resulted in his lowest output in a game all year. All in all, Jenkins had a solid season in 2025, totaling 1,874 yards, 14 touchdowns and six interceptions. The quarterback has one season of eligibility remaining.

Impact For only the third time in 2025, Anderson logged more than five targets. Unsurprisingly, during each of the three games, he recorded at least several receptions. In 2025, Anderson logged 25 of them (on 45 targets) for 280 yards and one touchdown.

Impact The tight end came into this game with 166 yards on the season, so this was a bit of a surprise. Payne, a UAB transfer, stepped right into the role of top tight end, but like many offenses in college football his role was tertiary.

Impact Now, one must caveat that Sam Houston's defense is horrendous, and that this game was well settled before Joseph touched the ball. However, the true freshman had one carry all season before this, and he turned his four rushing attempts here into this kind of production. Plus, he didn't burn his redshirt, so everybody is happy here.

Impact Owens didn't get one of the four rushing touchdowns FIU had against one of the worst FBS defenses in recent memory, but that's a minor frustration for him, one imagines. After all, he's got 11 rushing scores on the season and is approaching 1,300 yards on the ground with a bowl game to go.

Impact Jenkins was the starter until he injured himself, at which point Joe Pesansky stepped in and, frankly, outplayed Jenkins. It all worked out conveniently, though, as Jenkins was ready to go this week and Pesansky was out with an injury. The question becomes who starts the bowl game for FIU if both are healthy?
