Peterson cracks Falcons' tough defense for 6th 100-yard game of 2015
There are few teams in the NFL better equipped to stop a running back of Adrian Peterson's quality than the Atlanta Falcons. They entered their Week 12 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings with the league's No. 1 run defense (87.4 rushing yards allowed per game).
However, on Sunday, Peterson still could not be stopped. He finished the game with 158 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, becoming the first player to eclipse 100 yards rushing against the Falcons this year.
Sunday's outing was also Peterson's sixth 100-yard performance of the year. One of those -- a Week 10 shellacking of the Oakland Raiders -- All Day racked up over 200 yards.
After three consecutive games with at least 100 yards rushing, Peterson was held to just 45 yards in a Week 11 loss to the Green Bay Packers. His big day against the Falcons, which included a game-sealing touchdown sprint from 35 yards out, was an unmistakable sign that All Day isn't slowing down any time soon.
