Jerome Bettis compares Marshawn Lynch to himself
Since joining the Seahawks, Marshawn Lynch has been an absolute terror and opposing defenses have had their fair share of troubles trying to contain the man known as Beast Mode.
When asked which NFL player most compares to himself, Jerome Bettis praised Lynch for his aggressive, physical style of play.
“Obviously he’s probably got more speed than I have," Bettis said. "But I think his determination and desire, I can relate to that. His unwillingness to go down with one tackler is impressive. Every time I watch him, I'm impressed.”
Like Lynch, Bettis had a penchant for carrying multiple defenders on his back. As such, the nickname, "The Bus" was born.
Bettis finished his career sixth on the NFL's all-time rushing list, was a six-time Pro Bowler and two-time First-Team All-Pro. Lynch is a five-time Pro Bowler and was a First-Team All-Pro in 2012.
There certainly exists similarities between Beast Mode and The Bus.
And trying to stop either of them have caused headaches for opposing defenses.
