Dolphins WR DeVante Parker expected to be ready for Week 1

There's been some concern surrounding Miami Dolphins' rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker's status for Week 1, but head coach Joe Philbin put those worries to rest. When asked about Parker's health and availability for the season opener, Philbin was more than confident he'd be on the field against the Washington Redskins.

"It's hard to predict if Week 1 he'll be ready for 30 snaps or 60 snaps," Philbin told the Miami Herald. "It's hard to put a number on it yet. We're not there yet. He's back in town. Right now he's been working, doing what he can do. And you got to let that stuff heal."

So he didn't say 100 percent that Parker would be on the field, but the fact that he's wondering if he'll be out there for 30 or 60 snaps should give Dolphins fans plenty of confidence. Parker figures to be a big part of the Dolphins' offense, which has a bevy of new weapons for Ryan Tannehill.

Along with Parker, the Dolphins brought in Jordan Cameron, Kenny Stills, and Greg Jennings to help Tannehill as they look to unseat the Patriots at the top of the AFC East.
