Buffalo Bills strengthen offensive line by adding OT Wayne Hunter
The Buffalo Bills continue to add former players that played for head coach Rex Ryan while he coached the New York Jets.
On Wednesday, the Bills added offensive lineman Wayne Hunter to roster ahead of training camp. Rex Ryan is happy to have Hunter on his team even though he hasn't played in the NFL since 2012 when he was on the St. Louis Rams.
"He is a guy that did a tremendous job for us early," said Ryan about Hunter's career in New York. "I think in an ideal world there are some players for whatever reason that are better in multiple roles and being almost like a utility guy, playing guard, tackle, tight end. Giving you a lot of that versatility, a smart athletic guy."
Hunter is not expected to contend for a starting spot but he provides depth for a team that only had three healthy offensive tackles heading into training camp. Cyrus Kouandijo, Seantrel Henderson and Cordy Glenn are all expected to duke it out for both starting offensive tackle spots.
