Steve Kerr says Warriors are 'not really pushing' for Bulls' 72-10 mark

Just four wins shy of breaking the 1995-96 Bulls' 72-10 record, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr told USA Today that his club is "not really pushing" for it.
"We're not really pushing for this," Kerr told the outlet after practice Monday. "All we've said is, 'Yeah, it'd be nice to get. We'd like to get it.'
"But if I were pushing for it, I probably wouldn't be resting (backup point guard) Shaun Livingston and (center Andrew) Bogut, and I'd be playing our starters more. We're just playing it out. I don't understand if people are going to say that we're pushing for this. I don't think that's the right word to use. We'd like to get it, but we're still resting people and trying to get us set up for the playoffs."
Kerr's quotes come two days after he admitted that he cared about the mark.
"I care," he said a day after the Warriors' first home loss of the season to the Celtics. "I think it'd be a great feather in our cap, caps, whatever."

Last month, Kerr talked about the mark being "pretty enticing" with the Warriors 10 wins shy of breaking the mark. Warriors forward Draymond Green took it a step further in March, saying "I'm not going to shy away from saying we want the record. We want the record, and we're going after it."
But now with Golden State needing to win four of its final five games, it appears Kerr is changing his tune. The Warriors have two games left with the Spurs, who have handed Golden State one of its eight losses this season.
But it's still unclear if San Antonio will play its starting unit against the Warriors. Spurs point guard Tony Parker hinted at the team resting many of its stars as the regular season winds down.
The Warriors also have to face the Timberwolves and the injury-depleted Memphis Grizzlies twice to round out the regular season. Will the Warriors get it done?
