Report: Heat could look to trade mid-sized contracts to avoid luxury tax

While the Miami Heat try to get a deal done with Dwyane Wade, they can be secure in the knowledge that both Luol Deng and Goran Dragic will be back next season.

But it's not all about the players on the roster for the Heat. It'd be nice if Miami could avoid paying the luxury tax next season to avoid any future problems from being repeat payers of the tax. That won't be easy, however, as it would require the Heat to move a few players on mid-sized contracts, according to Grantland's Zach Lowe.

The most obvious candidates are Chris Andersen and Mario Chalmers, who the Heat are reportedly shopping already. If Miami can move those two, get Wade, Dragic and Deng back and add Justise Winslow, next season could be the start of something beautiful for the Heat.
