NBA players are coming out of retirement to try to join the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors are coming off the best regular season in NBA history, and were just one game from repeating as champions. But that didn't stop them from loading up with a fresh batch of talent this summer, an offseason haul that included Kevin Durant signing up to play alongside an already incredible roster.

The newly stacked Warriors had veteran talent clamoring to be a part of something special, which is why David West and Zaza Pachulia signed below-market deals to play for the team next season. And that phenomenon has extended to former players who are out of the league, as guys like Larry Sanders and Stephen Jackson are attempting to come out of retirement to play for Golden State next season.

Jackson, 38, had a colorful 14-year career with eight different teams that ended in 2014. He won a championship with the Spurs in 2003, was suspended 30 games for punching a fan during the infamous Malice at the Palace brawl between his Pacers and the Pistons in 2004. Jackson had his best playing years as a member of the "We Believe" Warriors team that shocked the world by beating the 67-win Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs in 2007.
