Heat fans still don't know who Tyler Johnson is

Even after trading Mario Chalmers to make Tyler Johnson the full-time backup point guard, the Heat aren't showing the Fresno State alum off to the fans enough...at least not enough to satisfy Johnson.

Johnson has been a nice surprise for the year during his second season in the league, and apparently, those around Miami are taking notice. Just not enough to know him by face.

Even though T.J. has been more than solid so far this year, it takes a little more than that for people around Miami to know him well. And you know how anyone can know that? Because you didn't flinch when you read "T.J." and he doesn't even go by "T.J." Heck, look at the photo we chose for this article. It isn't even from this year. But no one cares that the now-Chinese-resident Michael Beasley is setting the screen for Johnson in the photo. Because no one knows Tyler Johnson, yet.

Johnson is playing more than 20 minutes a night this year, and he's been especially good of late, averaging 10.6 points per game on 53 percent field-goal shooting and 54 percent three-point shooting over his past seven games. At some point in the near future, Miami will turn into Johnson's own little version of Cheers. Unfortunately, he's no Ted Danson just yet.
