Dwyane Wade's dad wears Cavs T-shirt at church event

It really must be Dwyane Wade rumor day.

The same day that one NBA reporter said there is mutual interest between Wade and the Lakers, a photo of the Heat guard’s father wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers T-shirt goes viral. What’s interesting is that the photo (in Instagram post below) is actually three weeks old, but it made the internet rounds on Sunday nonetheless.

Wade’s sister posted on Instagram to clarify the circumstances of the photo and says it has nothing to do with her brother’s basketball future.

“Ok let’s be clear Im posting this picture because it’s my dad and today I saw it on my IG so I was reposting …. Dad is a basketball fan . He was actually a star Player in his days and a great coach after…. So him wearing the shirt was his choice after observation .. It has nothing to do with my brother I hope that helped somebody I’ve been getting this pic on my dm and its all over my feed. This picture was actually taken 3 weeks ago. @dwyanewade’s dad was rooting for the Cavs in the finals,” she wrote.

Alright, so does that mean we can all pump the brakes on the rumors? Probably not. They’re still fun to discuss, and it’s entirely likely that Wade leaves, especially since he talks about Miami in the past tense.
