Yankees to honor David Ortiz at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 29

The New York Yankees will honor longtime rival Boston Red Sox star David Ortiz before the game on September 29 at Yankee Stadium, the team announced.
Ortiz plans to retire at the end of the season after playing for 20 years.
Ortiz has 52 home runs and 166 RBIs in 236 games against the Yankees. Ortiz only has more home runs against the Toronto Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles in his career. Ortiz joined the Red Sox in 2003 and played a big role in Boston's comeback against the Yankees in the 2004 American League Championship Series before winning the World Series. He has 14 career postseason home runs against New York.
