Jeff Weaver has agreed to return to the Los Angeles Dodgers for a minor league deal that includes an invitation to spring training.

Weaver went 6-4 with a 3.65 ERA in 28 games for the Dodgers last year. The 33-year-old right-hander is 99-118 with a 4.67 ERA in 312 career games over 10 seasons.

Weaver was born in Northridge and played college ball at Fresno State. His brother, Jered, plays for the Los Angeles Angels.

The Dodgers would give Weaver an $800,000, one-year contract if he's added to the 40-man roster under the terms of Tuesday's deal, and he would be able to earn $100,000 in performance bonuses.
