'Ugly Christmas Sweater' season extends to July with these minor league jerseys

The Lowell Spinners are bringing Christmas to July, but whether that'€™s a good idea is up for discussion.

The Massachusetts-based Spinners showed off their "Ugly Christmas Sweater" jerseys on Twitter on Friday. The first 1,000 fans to the game on July 24 will receive one of the jerseys for free.

What would be really impressive is if the team played in actual sweaters for the game, but sweaters in baseball uniform form seems like the safer and most rational option. Hopefully the jerseys spread a sense of holiday cheer.
