Twins' resiliency leads them back to postseason

The game was such an overload on the senses, with the Metrodome's earsplitting noise and more turns than a mountain switchback, that Twins manager Ron Gardenhire wanted to leave his team with one important instruction.

He made the proclamation at 9:48 p.m. local time Tuesday, five hours and 40 minutes after the first pitch of a game so compelling that the eight October entrants might have a hard time matching the spectacle.
