Twins agree to terms with 21 players

The Minnesota Twins have agreed to contract terms with third baseman Danny Valencia, pitcher Brian Duensing and 19 other players to officially round out their 40-man roster.

Valencia is the team's starting third baseman after hitting .311 in 85 games as a rookie last year. He worked out with Yankees star Alex Rodriguez in the offseason and has looked impressive in the early going of spring training this year.

Duensing started last season in the bullpen before being inserted into the rotation to help the banged-up and struggling starters. He went 10-3 with a 2.62 ERA and started Game 3 of the AL division series against the Yankees.

Duensing is in a competition with Kevin Slowey and Nick Blackburn for the last two spots in the rotation this year.
