The Detroit Tigers have agreed to contract terms with outfielder Delmon Young, right-hander Max Scherzer and utilityman Don Kelly, avoiding arbitration with all three.

The team announced the one-year deals Tuesday. Young gets $6,725,000; Scherzer agreed at $3.75 million; and Kelly receives $900,000.

Young hit .274 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs in 40 games with Detroit after being acquired in an August trade. He also hit five home runs in 34 postseason at-bats for the Tigers.

Scherzer started 33 games in 2011, going 15-9 with a 4.43 ERA.

Kelly made starts at first base, third base and all three outfield positions last year. He also caught a few innings and even pitched at the end of a blowout. Kelly hit .245 with seven homers.

The Tigers do not have any players left in arbitration.
