WHAT IT MEANS

The sudden loss of Dallas-Fort Worth sports reporter Richard Durrett at 38 in the summer of 2014 led to the formation of the Do It For Durrett Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to helping working-class families impacted by sudden loss. Do It For Durrett Foundation was introduced to BowTie Cause by the baseball reporters on the foundation's board. Ken Rosenthal was familiar with Richard, as well as four of the five current board members. The bowtie design was inspired by the glasses Richard was known for wearing and has the colors of one of his favorite sports programs, the Auburn Tigers.
