Steve Carell takes blame for Red Sox blooper during live interview (VIDEO)

The stars were out at Fenway Park on Saturday night.

During the Boston Red Sox’s game against the Kansas City Royals, NESN’s Gary Striewski sat down with actor Steve Carell, best known as Michael Scott on the TV show “The Office.” The two discussed Carell’s time on the hit show, as well as whether Carell could catch a foul ball if it came to him in the stands.

Carell even said he should run out to catch a fly ball in left field, and just after he said that, a routine fly ball dropped directly in front of left-fielder Jonny Gomes. Carell took as much blame from fans for the miscue as Gomes got. A tough crowd indeed.
