St. Louis weatherman rips Cardinals

Published Oct. 31, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

It's not a good week to be a St. Louis Cardinals fan.

The Cards' season ended with a 6-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Wednesday, closing out a World Series in which the St. Louis offense — among baseball’s best during the regular season — was largely held in check.

Mike Matheny's club was limited to two runs or fewer in four of the six games, including just one in Games 5 and 6.

This fact was not lost on fans of the Redbirds, including FOX 2 meteorologist Glenn Zimmerman, who launched into a mini-tirade about the team’s struggles at the plate during his weather report for the St. Louis news station on Thursday afternoon.
