SEATTLE (AP) The Seattle Mariners claimed left-hander Edgar Olmos off waivers from Miami on Thursday and added three others to their 40-man roster.

The Mariners selected right-hander Mayckol Guaipe, catcher John Hicks, and infielder Ketel Marte for their major league roster.

The Mariners also acquired right-hander Sam Gaviglio from St. Louis in exchange for minor league infielder Ty Kelly. Gaviglio pitched for Double-A Springfield this past season.

Olmos, 24, pitched at Double- and Triple-A this year. He appeared in five games for Miami late in the 2013 season.
