Salazar pitches 6 innings, Indians beat Athletics

MESA, Ariz. (AP) Danny Salazar pitched six innings and Tyler Naquin hit his fourth home run of the spring as the Cleveland Indians defeated the Oakland Athletics 6-4 Monday.

Salazar gave up two runs and seven hits. He is expected to be Cleveland's No. 3 starter.

Joba Chamberlain pitched a hitless ninth for a save.

Yan Gomes had two hits and drove in two runs for the Indians. Rajai Davis had two hits in the leadoff spot for Cleveland.

Khris Davis tripled and doubled for the A's. Yonder Alonso hit his first home run and singled.
