Reliever Jeff Montgomery is the only one of the 16 who wasn’t a part of the Royals some time between 1976 and 1985, the Royals’ decade of dominance in the AL West. During that stretch, the Royals advanced to the postseason seven times and appeared in the World Series twice, winning the world championship in 1985.
