Kansas City Royals starter Kyle Davies was removed after walking the bases full in the first inning and the team said later he had anterior shoulder soreness.

The Royals said the right-hander would undergo an MRI in his throwing shoulder. He was replaced by Nate Adcock, who gave up a two-run single to Cleveland's Orlando Cabrera in the first.
