DENVER (AP) Colorado Rockies outfielder Carlos Gonzalez left Thursday night's game against the New York Mets in the fourth inning because of a bruised left index finger, the team said.

Gonzalez homered in the first inning before being replaced by pinch-hitter Brandon Barnes.

The team characterized Gonzalez' playing status as day to day.
