Rockies' Gonzalez hit on leg, leaves

Published Jun. 13, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

Rockies star Carlos Gonzalez left Thursday's game with a bruised left foot after getting hit by a foul ball while on deck in the first inning.

Gonzalez was struck near the ankle by Jordan Pacheco's foul liner. A team trainer attended to Gonzalez, and the left fielder exited after walking around in front of the Colorado dugout.

The Rockies said X-rays were negative. He was listed as day to day.

Tyler Colvin took over for Gonzalez.
