Rockies claim INF-OF Brown off waivers from Cards

The Colorado Rockies have claimed infielder-outfielder Andrew Brown off waivers from the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Rockies added the 27-year-old Brown on Wednesday.

Brown made his major league debut last June with the Cardinals. He hit .182 with three RBIs in 11 games, and played right field.

Brown spent most of the year at Triple-A Memphis and hit .284 with 20 home runs and 73 RBIs.
