Report: LAPD examining Stow video
Los Angeles police detectives are examining a video believed to show San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow being confronted by a fan inside Dodger Stadium on Opening Day, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.
The video captured inside the ballpark, shows a male Dodgers fan standing in the aisle while pointing his finger and sharing words with a seated Giants fan, who law enforcement officials believe is Stow.
The footage, posted on TMZ.com, ends with the Dodgers fan walking back to his seat.
The brief confrontation took place prior to the savage attack in the stadium parking lot that has left Stow hospitalized for nearly three months.
The Dodgers fan, donning a blue No. 23 Dodgers jersey with Banda written across the back, does not appear to be Giovanni Ramirez, who police have identified as the primary suspect in the beating.
Ramirez, 31, who was arrested in May but has not been charged in the assault, was ordered last week to serve 10 months in prison for a parole violation.
Police continue to search for a second suspect and a woman, who investigators believe drove the two assailants away after the attack.
Meanwhile, Stow's condition was upgraded from critical to serious last week, with doctors saying he is breathing without a ventilator.
The 42-year-old father of two is reportedly showing spontaneous movement of his left arm, opening his eyes and sporadically following basic commands.
