Reddick delivers A's first walk-off win of the season, gets pied
The Oakland Athletics' playoff runs from 2012-2014 were marked with exciting walk-off victories at O.co Coliseum...but it took them until Wednesday night to pick up their first such win in 2015.
In fact, they hadn't even had a last-at-bat victory yet this season until Josh Reddick strode to the plate in the bottom of the ninth against Texas Rangers reliever Keone Kela with the score tied 4-4.
Reddick's well-placed infield single plated Sam Fuld, sealing the A's come-from-behind 5-4 win. Overall, the comeback was a much-needed triumph for the green and gold, who came into the game with a four-game losing streak.
Given that context, the A's were eager to celebrate the good times afterwards. First, here's Reddick's walk-off hit:
And then the subsequent on-air interview, followed by a pie to the face and a Gatorade shower:
The A's haven't had very many games like this yet in 2015 as they still boast one of MLB's worst records at 24-37, but all was well in Oakland on Wednesday evening.
