Rangers hold OF Martin out of lineup

Texas Rangers outfielder Leonys Martin was not in the lineup Sunday against the Chicago White Sox after spraining his right ankle the previous night.

Martin was injured during the ninth inning of Saturday's game against the White Sox in a collision with left fielder David Murphy. Martin called off Murphy as both charged Paul Konerko's fly to center, but Murphy kept pursuing and made the catch.

Martin grabbed his ankle when he hit the ground and immediately left the game. X-rays showed no structural damage.

Martin received treatment before Sunday's game and was walking around with a slight limp. He is day to day.
