We have no idea what possessed Carlos Carrasco to deface this baseball, but it's pretty awesome.

The Indians pitcher turned a baseball into a creepy-looking version of Tom Hanks' pet volleyball 'Wilson' in the move Castaway. And he named it after his teammate Jose Ramirez.

Sure the "hair" resembles Ramirez's 'do, but we're not sure about that sheepish grin.

Whatever the case, the human baseball mascot might possess some kind of magical powers, as Ramirez went 2-for-3 and scored two runs in Wednesday night's 4-3 win over the White Sox. The Indians have also won four of their last six.

Perhaps it is a distant cousin of good luck charm Jobu?
