Phillies activate LHP Lannan for start vs Nats

The Philadelphia Phillies have activated left-hander John Lannan from the disabled list and started him against Washington.

Lannan faced the Nationals on Monday night. He is 0-1 with a 6.14 ERA and has been out since April 17 because of a strained tendon in his left knee.

Philadelphia put left-handed reliever Jeremy Horst on the 15-day DL with a strain in his left elbow. He is 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA in 28 games this season.
