Paul Goldschmidt named National League Player of the Week

The D-backs’ first baseman received the honor for the week that ended Sunday May, 3. Goldschmidt had a batting average of .556 (15-for-27) with a major league-leading 15 hits and NL-best 22 total bases. He had three consecutive three-hit games April 27th-29th while the team was in Colorado. Goldy slugged .815 during the week and had a .571 on-base percentage. He is the first D-back to receive the award since A.J. Pollock did for the week of May 26-June 1, 2014.
