Padres reinstate Street; option Layne, Decker

The San Diego Padres have reinstated closer Huston Street from the 15-day disabled list and optioned left-hander Tommy Layne and outfielder Jaff Decker to Triple-A Tucson.

Street was placed on the DL on June 1, retroactive to May 30, with a strained left calf muscle. He appeared in one rehabilitation game with Single-A Lake Elsinore on Wednesday, working one scoreless inning.

He is 0-3 with 11 saves in 12 opportunities this year, with a 4.43 ERA.

Layne was recalled June 1 for his second stint with San Diego this season. He is 0-1 with a 1.59 ERA in six games this year with the Padres.

Decker was recalled Wednesday for his first career major league stint but did not appear in a game.
