Orioles' Showalter, 1B Reynolds tossed from game
Manager Buck Showalter and first baseman Mark Reynolds have been ejected from the Baltimore Orioles' game at the Detroit Tigers.
Showalter and Reynolds became upset after an overturned call put Detroit's Jhonny Peralta on first base after he was called out in the fifth inning Friday night.
Baltimore third baseman Manny Machado made a throw that forced Reynolds to fully extend to catch the ball that was low and up the line before appearing to be pulled off the bag. Replays weren't conclusive.
First base umpire Jeff Kellogg called Peralta out. When the call was overturned to make Peralta safe, Reynolds slammed his glove and was tossed. Showalter stormed out of the dugout and was ejected.
Machado was charged with an error. Detroit didn't score in the inning.
