CHICAGO (AP) The Baltimore Orioles activated second baseman Jonathan Schoop from the 60-day disabled list on Sunday.

Schoop hit .259 with three home runs and seven RBIs in nine games to begin the season before he went on the 15-day disabled list on April 18 for a sprained right knee.

Schoop was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on June 16. He hit .265 with two doubles, four home runs and seven RBIs in nine rehabilitation games between Double-A Bowie and Class A Frederick.

''He's done everything possible,'' Orioles manager Buck Showalter said. ''He's probably in the best shape of his life.''
