Nationals recall Bernadina from Syracuse

The Washington Nationals have recalled outfielder Roger Bernadina from Triple-A Syracuse.

Bernadina, who was sent down on July 29, is batting .247 with five home runs and 20 RBIs in 71 games with the Nationals.

Bernadina was not in the starting lineup for Washington's game against the New York Mets.

In 46 games with Syracuse, the 27-year-old Bernadina batted .250 with six home runs and 14 RBIs.
