ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay Rays right fielder Wil Myers has been scratched from the starting lineup because of flu-like symptoms.

Myers, the 2013 AL Rookie of the Year, had been listed as the second-place hitter for Thursday night's game against Toronto.

The team announced the move about 90 minutes before first pitch.

Also, the Rays placed infielder-outfielder Sean Rodriguez on the paternity leave list and recalled infielder Vince Belnome from Triple-A Durham.
