Mets tie Subway Series prices to heat

No reason for New York Mets fans to get steamed over ticket prices for the Subway Series.

As part of a summer promotion, the Mets tied the ticket price for some top seats this weekend against the New York Yankees to the gametime temperature Wednesday night.

With heat advisories posted in the city, it was 94 degrees when the Mets started against Baltimore, and that meant a nice savings for fans.

It will now be $94 for left-field reserved seats at Citi Field on Friday night, down from the usual $115. It also will be $94 for field boxes Sunday night, cut from the regular $136. The team began selling tickets at the discounted prices right away, and said quantities were limited.
