Mets Murphy, Martinez, Evans healing from injuries

Published Nov. 30, 2010 8:23 p.m. ET

Mets infielder Daniel Murphy has strained his left hamstring during winter ball in the Dominican Republic.

The Mets gave injury updates on three players Tuesday. They say an MRI on outfielder Fernando Martinez showed minor arthritis in his right knee, but no new injuries.

First baseman Nick Evans also had a scan, on his injured left, non-throwing shoulder. Evans has been swinging a bat pain-free and the MRI showed no further damage to his torn labrum.

All three were cleared to keep rehabbing.
