Mets' Colon should stick to pitching, but he can't, so we get this

This season marks Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon's return to the National League after a 12-year stint in the AL, and it's safe to say that his batting skills are a little rusty.

In Saturday's matchup against the Atlanta Braves, Colon swung so hard against right-hander Ervin Santana that he missed the ball completely as his helmet flew off of his head.

Colon, who has not recorded a hit since 2005, went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts in the game. The 40-year-old pitching veteran also was underwhelming on the mound, giving up three runs in Atlanta's eventual 7-5 victory.
