Marlins put Sanabia on DL

The Miami Marlins have put pitcher Alex Sanabia on the 15-day disabled list with a right groin injury and recalled left-hander Dan Jennings from Triple-A New Orleans.

The moves were announced before Monday's game at Tampa Bay.

Sanabia (3-7) lasted just four innings in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox.

It was first time Sanabia pitched since cameras caught him spitting on the ball during a start against Philadelphia last Monday. He said he didn't know it was illegal.
