Marlins manager McKeon ejected

Published Aug. 24, 2011 6:14 p.m. ET

Florida Marlins manager Jack McKeon has been ejected in the third inning for arguing balls and strikes in the first game of a doubleheader against the Cincinnati Reds.

First base umpire Todd Tichenor ejected McKeon on Wednesday afternoon after McKeon disputed a check swing call by Homer Bailey.

It is the first time this season the 80-year old manager has been ejected since taking over on June 20. The Marlins are 25-31 with McKeon.

The Marlins have lost six straight and are last in the NL East Division. They are 2-16 in their last 18.
