ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria is in the starting lineup one day after hurting his right hand.

Longoria was hit by a pitch from Orioles right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez in the first inning on Monday. He stayed in the game until being pulled after the fifth due to hand soreness.

Longoria entered Tuesday's game with a .281 batting average, 31 homers and 85 RBIs.
