Josh Hamilton on joining surging Rangers: 'It's going to be fun'
Josh Hamilton made his 2015 Texas Rangers debut on Monday, and despite going 0-3 with two strikeouts and a walk he had an enjoyable afternoon.
That's because the Rangers have now won six games in a row, creating an exciting atmosphere for the veteran outfielder, returning to the organization with which he became a superstar just a few years ago.
As he told Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News, he's relishing this new opportunity: “I like the situation we’re in,” Hamilton said. “Like it a lot. Guys are out there fighting. It’s going to be fun.”
Fellow slugger Prince Fielder echoed that sentiment when discussing the lineup, which now features himself, Hamilton and Adrian Beltre: “I’ve got a Hall of Famer behind me and an MVP behind me. What could be better than that?”
If Hamilton can get going with the bat (something he never quite did with the Angels), the Rangers could have something special once again...
