Blue Jays third baseman Brett Lawrie apologized to his teammates before Monday's game against Atlanta, one day after an angry blowup on the field and in the dugout.
Lawrie was seen yelling at designated hitter Adam Lind and third base coach Luis Rivera after Lind didn't try to score from third on Lawrie's flyball to right in the ninth inning of Sunday's game against Baltimore. Toronto trailed 5-3 at the time but came back to win 6-5.
Manager John Gibbons yelled at Lawrie after the third-year infielder returned to the dugout. Outfielder Jose Bautista stepped in to stop the argument.
Lawrie was in the lineup Monday. Gibbons said he considered the incident finished, while Lawrie declined to discuss it further.
