Indians' Sizemore scratched with sore back

Published Apr. 11, 2010 7:15 p.m. ET

Grady Sizemore has been scratched from the Cleveland Indians' lineup just before their game with the Detroit Tigers because of a stiff back.

The move caused Cleveland manager Manny Acta to juggle his lineup Sunday against Tigers ace Justin Verlander.

Michael Brantley, scheduled to hit ninth and play left field, replaced Sizemore in the second spot in the order and center field.

Austin Kearns moved into the lineup, hitting eighth and playing left, while catcher Lou Marson moved from eighth to ninth.
