Updated Mar. 4, 2020 10:25 p.m. ET

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) Colorado catcher Nick Hundley was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left oblique strain before the Rockies' game against the San Francisco Giants.

Catcher Dustin Garneau was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to take Hundley's place Friday on the 25-man roster.

Hundley, who was scratched from Thursday night's game, is batting .273 with two home runs and has driven in seven runs.

Garneau is making his second appearance with the Rockies this season. He went 4 for 10 in three games last month.
