Washington left-hander Tom Gorzelanny limped off the field after scoring from first base and has left his start against the Atlanta Braves with a twisted right ankle.
Gorzelanny collided with Braves catcher Brian McCann while scoring on Roger Bernadina's triple in the third inning on Sunday. Bernadina also scored on second baseman Dan Uggla's wild relay throw, which forced McCann to move up the third-base line and set up the collision with Gorzelanny.
Gorzelanny made a few warmup throws in the bottom of the third inning before leaving the game. Right-hander Henry Rodriguez replaced Gorzelanny.
