Gonzalez leaves with injury

Published May. 19, 2011 9:18 p.m. ET

Colorado left fielder Carlos Gonzalez left Thursday night's game against the Phillies after getting injured in the third inning.

There was no immediate word on the extent of his injury. Gonzalez lined a double over center fielder Michael Martinez's head in the top of the inning. He stopped abruptly between second and third, but didn't seem injured.

Gonzalez then left the game after fielding Carlos Ruiz's bloop single leading off Philadelphia's third. He led the NL with a .336 average last year, but is just hitting .245 this season.
