KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) Even though he won 10 games for the marlins last season, Tom Koehler isn't considering himself a lock for Miami's rotation.

Johnny Gomes drove in two runs and Kelly Johnson went 2 for 2, leading the Atlanta Braves over the Marlins 6-3 Thursday.

Koehler allowed four runs and walked three in four innings in his second start of the spring.

''I'm extremely disappointed with the hits and not being able to put guys away,'' Koehler said.

Koehler walked Braves pitcher Cody Martin to lead off the third inning.

''I can't be walking pitchers,'' he said. ''I have to stop worrying about building myself up and start worrying about execution. We're getting close now to the season.''

Braves starter Manny Banuelos allowed one run and three hits in two innings for the Braves. He's a candidate for the final spot in the Braves rotation but has a 17.18 ERA in three appearances.

Ichiro Suzuki had two hits for the Marlins and is hitting 308. Jeff Mathis also had two hits for the Marlins.

FOR STARTERS

BRAVES: Banuelos is a candidate for the final spot in the Braves rotation but has had a rocky spring. He pitched at three levels in the minor leagues last season and still thinks he has a chance.

''Today I was happier because I am getting more confidence,'' Banuelos said. ''I started to throw my way and wanted to go five innings, but I am happy now.''

UP NEXT

MARLINS: Dan Haren will make his third start of the spring on Friday against the visiting Braves.

BRAVES: Wandy Rodriguez will make his fourth appearance of the spring against the Marlins. He is battling for a final spot in the Braves rotation and has allowed only one run in eight innings this spring.

ANOTHER CANDIDATE?

BRAVES: Gonzalez is looking for pitching and Cody Martin is making a big impact. Martin has never pitched at the major league level and was 7-8 at Triple A Gwinnett last season, but he has pitched eight innings without allowing a run. Gonzalez said he can see keeping Martin as a starter or a reliever when the team goes north.
